NYC Education Professional Arax Tramblian Lefevre

New York City-based educator Arax Tramblian Lefevre has worked as the director of curriculum for The Progressive Classroom Project since co-founding the initiative in 2022. Under her guidance, the organization offers educators for Grades 7 through 12 quality, inquiry-based social studies materials appropriate for multiple class settings. During her time on the project, Arax Tramblian LeFevre has presented professional development workshops on running mock trials and worked closely with legal professionals to craft a comprehensive mock trial curriculum.

Ms. LeFevre was previously a social studies teacher and curriculum lead at Harlem Village Academies. She has also worked as a social studies teacher at M.S. 930, where she designed the middle school’s first Social Studies Regents after-school program.

Ms. Lefevre graduated summa cum laude as a Fulbright Scholar from Bates College. She taught courses and researched violence against women as a Fulbright Fellow in a United States Department of State program at Yerevan State University. In addition to her political science degree, she holds a master of arts in education from the Hunter School of Education in New York City.
